Loose Change

I think I undersold this documentary in my post on the 23rd. Allow me to clear the phlegm from my throat and try to put this a little more succinctly: Everyone you know should invest the hour and a half to watch the documentary loose change . It is an extremely lucid exposition of many of the lingering questions that continue to surround the events of 9/11. Among the questions covered are
  1. How is it that the Twin Towers were the first buildings of their kind in history to collapse due to fire and when they did collapse, did so at the same speed as a freefalling body?
  2. Why was there no airplane fuselage left over at the Pentagon?
  3. How was it that multiple cell phone calls were made from the hijacked airplanes, when the success rate of such phone calls is typically less than .01 %? (ref: http://www.physics911.net)
  4. Who stood to gain the most from the collapse of the twin towers?
It is shocking that the details surrounding such a historic event that changed the trajectory of U.S. foreign policy and thus the trajectory of the rest of the planet has been relegated to the dustbin of accepted government-prescribed wisdom. For what it's worth...

Mound City

So, I'm in St. Louis for the next four days to get trained on Webcrossing.
I arrived late last night and so far I know not to recommend Imo's Pizza. They claim to serve up St. Louis style pizza, which I think is a disservice to the good people of this city. Other than that, I'm not at all certain what to do. If anyone reading this lives in the area and has some free time shoot me a line.

Encouraging news from the Roberts Court

U.S. Supreme Court Says Church Can Use Hallucinogen in Ritual

Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Supreme Court, saying law enforcement goals in some cases must yield to religious rights, ruled that the Bush administration can't block a New Mexico church from using a hallucinogenic tea.

This is HUGE... There's now a precedent for DMT use in ritual settings and it was an 8-0 vote to boot. Definitely didn't expect this when I was writing my senators to be wary of confirming Roberts.
