Behold, A new art form

Either R. Kelly has gone completely insane, or he is an idiot savant... Perhaps there's not much of a difference. I fully intend on purchasing the DVD of this as it has full commentary by R. Kelly. The format is of him sitting in a chair watching "Trapped in the Closet" and commenting about what's going on. For instance "So, at this point I'm standing in the closet and the other guy is looking around the room." If you haven't seen this video yet, take a moment (20 minutes) to watch it and you'll appreciate just how beautifully post-modern that is.

Two months of homeostasis

Not really... I just haven't bothered to write. Unsure how to convey much of what's been happening the past month in words. I was speaking with my friend Shannon the other night and she told me she was keeping up with events in my life from the blogs of fellow Nomads. Thanks y'all for recounting whatever tales you did about me, it sustained a friendship. At any rate, I work a lot these days at Convio, which has been a brilliant experience. I am truly happy doing the work that I am doing. I have a standard list of 13 clients and others that pop in for some short-term help. The work I do ranges from putting together websites, to consulting on best practices for online fundraising. The reality tunnel of non-profit organizations is quite the beast, I must admit. I'm sure AIESEC was victim of fuzzy thinking at one point in its evolution, dare I say it still is? At any rate, basic concepts like defining different target markets and developing different approaches for each has been a radical idea for more of my clients than I would like to admit. At any rate, the work is rewarding at the end of the day. What else, 1172A procured a new member of the family who goes by the name of Luna Dweezle Moon Unit Four Flakes. She's a stray cat that showed up at my house when Aga and I were visiting the parentals in McKinney. She appears to be some odd mix between a cat, dolphin and a marsupial. Needless to say we're all quite proud of her.
Spent 10 days in Krakow and Prague with Aga and her family. There was so much... Her family was infinitely gracious, took me in as their own, fed me sausage and 90% alcohol content Spiritus. We were in Prague for New Years, or Sylvester as the locals call it, though I don't remember much of the experience, just that I know I need to return to Prague in the near future. Of course I usually say that about the last place I've visited, so that is to be considered as well.... Jesus... what else. Psytrance was the order of the evening last weekend in Austin. There is a budding community here of folks who want to bring more psytrance artists to the Austin area. I'm happy to be amongst them.
Transience continues to be an odd concept to me, and perhaps it is because it continues to be a concept. While I understand that is probably the only guaranteed aspect of this existence when things begin to pass out of existence it is inevitably painful. Eh, non illegitimus carborundum.
